Pride in our Identities?

Pride in our Identities?  Thursday 27 July 2017 at 18.30 pm

Identity is how you see yourself & how others see you. In Northern Ireland this is an ongoing source of conflict. As we struggle to move out of conflict into a shared pluralist future how do we:

Encourage and sustain a pluralist society which is open and welcoming to all?  Celebrate our diverse identities?  Build a shared sense of belonging?
Community Dialogue is a charitable organisation that empowers people through dialogue and training to address issues of division and exclusion. Our overall goal is to use dialogue as a mechanism that allows victims and survivors of conflict to deal with and address their past and to begin to respect and understand the views and past of others.  Through this appreciation for the past we hope to ensure people most affected by conflict can begin to move forward to a peaceful society together.
The workshop will be an opportunity for a diverse range of people, both within the LGBT community and allies to explore and share various views on their identity and that of others.

Venue: Duncairn Centre for Culture and Arts, Duncairn Complex, Duncairn Avenue, Belfast
Date: 27th July
